KOSHER CERTIFICATION
ABOUT KOSHER CERTIFICATION
The Hebrew word “kosher” literally means “fit” or “appropriate.” When used to food, the term “kosher” denotes that the item in issue complies with Jewish dietary laws. Today, kosher has grown in importance as a marketing strategy that creates additional money by growing the market’s size. The Kosher Certification gives a product a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Although Jewish dietary law is extensive, the following are some general guidelines:
- Some animals should not be eaten at all. The flesh, organs, eggs, and milk of these animals are all prohibited.
- The birds and mammals must be killed in accordance with Jewish law.
- Before eating, all blood must be drained or broiled out of meat and poultry.
- It is forbidden to eat some sections of approved animals.
- Fruits and vegetables are allowed, but they must be bug-free (which cannot be eaten)
- Dairy and meat (the flesh of birds and mammals) cannot be consumed together. Meat or dairy can be eaten alongside fish, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and cereals. (Some people believe that fish should not be eaten alongside meat.)
- Non-Jewish grape products are forbidden to be consumed.
Advantages of Kosher Certification
- It aids in maximizing the revenue of your natural and organic products on the market.
- It offers a competitive advantage, enabling your goods to sell at a faster rate.
- More global business prospects can be gained by using kosher products.
